Starting Aug. 27, WRT 125: Beginning Poetry Writing (CRN 13549)
Tuesday evenings from 5:45-8:25 at West Campus
You’ll write, learn poetry writing techniques, and evaluation and critical response to poems. You’ll get great tools and insights to help you find your place in the world of poetry. The class will be led by published poet and faculty member Elizabeth “Frankie” Rollins, who describes herself as “a writer of myths, fairy tales, and other true stories.”
Probe Pima’s new Cybersecurity degree
Interested in a career in cybersecurity? Pima’s new Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Cybersecurity will prepare you for this rapidly growing career field.
Graduates armed with the skill and knowledge to protect the private information of companies and their customers will be in high demand in coming years. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, cybersecurity jobs are anticipated to grow 28 percent by the year 2026, which is more than twice the average for all occupations.
In Pima’s program, you’ll learn about event analysis and how to use a variety of cyber tools and threat mitigation techniques based on a strong foundation in systems, networking and security. You’ll be prepared to rapidly respond to crises and resolve cybersecurity incidents, making you an attractive candidate for jobs in cyber defense and computer systems security.

Pima’s Fitness and Wellness (FAW) classes are offered year-round at all campuses. Most classes are only one credit and run 14 weeks. From A to Z, the offerings include ballroom dancing, belly dancing, boot camp, cardio cross-training, indoor cycling, kickboxing, Pilates, salsa dancing, self-defense, strength and flexibility, swimming, tennis, weight training, yoga and Zumba.
